The Bend Paddleboard Challenge is a World Paddle Association sanctioned celebration of stand up paddling that includes races, manufacturer demos and clinics. 2011 Bend Paddleboard Challenge winner Karen Wrenn is a mother of two who has won several major stand up paddle races and is the first person to paddle between all eight of the Channel Islands consecutively.
Beau Whitehead is a firefighter, competitive cyclist and top placer in several major SUP racers.
Cyril Burguire is last year's Challenge winner. He lives in Portland where he paddles (and cycles) to work every day... year round!
